VANQUISH PACKAGING DESIGN

For some people, opening and using packaging is difficult, sometimes impossible.

I was tasked with redesigning an existing medicine package in order to improve its accessibility. Inclusive packaging design can benefit a variety of people, from those with disabilities to those visually impaired. The goal is to vastly improve the user experience by designing something that everyone can use.

My inclusive packaging design features silicone grips, a new sliding package with pull ribbons, braille, and large type sizes for the visually impaired. The directions and warnings booklet that’s usually smashed onto the box’s exterior as 9 point type, has been reorganized and included as a booklet attached to the box so it won’t be thrown away after opening the package. Pull tabs and Velcro make the back panel easily accessible. All available space is used efficiently.
